Regional Stakeholders

The SKA project will positively benefit a range of stakeholders from areas close to the future SKA site, at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory in Western Australia.

The Australian SKA Office meets on average twice a year with a Regional Stakeholders Group. The group includes representatives from the Murchison Shire, the Mid West Development Commission, the Wajarri Yamatji people, the City of Greater Geraldton, the Division of Durack, and a number of industry and science/education bodies.

The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the progress of the SKA project and any related issues such as infrastructure, opportunities for education and industry development and indigenous land use.
